Classic Circuit

Our traditional hamam consists of several rooms which vary in temperature and humidity.The steam works deep into the tissue and cells, detoxifying the body, while in turn stimulating the body’s metabolism into a deep state of relaxation.

The Classic Circuit includes the following 7 steps:

1- Sogukluk: The hamam begins with the visitor dressed in a pestemal (body towel) in the steam room. This is important to accustom the body to the heat. Duration: 10 minutes.

2- Kese: In this stage the pestemal is put to one side. The skin is rubbed with a special peeling glove (kese). The body is then rinsed with lukewarm water from the fountain (kuma). Duration: 5-10 minutes.

3- Sicaklik: In the heart of the hamam there is a warm water swimming pool which aids relaxation and rest. This helps stabilize the body temperature. Duration: 10 minutes.

4- Bingül: The next step is the detoxification of the body with a 55°C herb-infused steam bath. Duration: 10-15 minutes.

5- Lif: Uncovered by the pestemal, the skin is rubbed with an olive-based soap. Duration: 5-7 minutes.

6- Gobek tasi: This stage relaxes the body and stimulates the immune system, with the visitor lying on a heated stone. This slowly raises body temperature by just one degree. Duration: 5-10 minutes.

7- Camekan: Enjoy tea or juice and some oriental bites in the relaxation room.

Rhassoul

A visit to the kingdom of the senses! After a Classic Circuit you will smoothly rub volcanic ash clay on your body. The nutrients found in naturally occurring clay softly penetrate the skin through the gradual introduction of steam.
