Welcome to the first traditional hamam + spa in Latin America.
A hamam is a thousand-year old concept, consisting of a circuit of 6 stages and different massage treatments. Using heat and water, the hamam rids the body of accumulated toxins and relaxes the mind, and the typical soap and oil massages do a great job of rounding off a Hamam experience.
The sense of a Hamam
Enjoying a hamam has long formed a central part of the social life of many of the most cultured oriental societies. The relaxing experience of hamam has evolved into something social, a place to do business, or simply an opportunity to sit and dream. It has always been seen as something of a hedonic ritual bringing great benefit to the body. The processes undertaken in the hamam all help to purify the body and the mind. Water, and how it is used, plays a fundamental role. Water cleanses, it stimulates recuperation and it preserves life. Steam or the use of water is one of the simplest ways to clean and renew. A perfect mix of water and essential oils is beneficial to skin, airways are unblocked and the heart is stimulated.
The varying ways in which water is applied allow each bather to choose how exactly they wish to benefit from the experience. It rinses off the old and makes space for the new. The hamam's center consists of a temperature controlled swimming pool and the heated rock to invite rest and relaxation as well as providing time for reflection. From there, visitors move on to the cozy relaxation room to enjoy a selection of teas, fresh juice, dried fruits as well as some exquisite oriental snacks. A hamam is the perfect way to get back to daily life feeling refreshed and renewed.
How does the hamam work?
A hamam is a thousand-year old concept, consisting of a circuit of 6 stages and different massage treatments. Following a 10-minute time rhythm, the course leads you through two steam baths set at different temperatures, two exfoliation rooms, a heated swimming-pool and ends with a relaxation on a hot stone, before you can enjoy additional treatments. Using heat and water, the hamam rids the body of accumulated toxins and the typical soap and oil massages do a great job of rounding off a Hamam experience. On the menu of Hamam services there are some great packages combined with the hamam circuit. It is no coincidence that Entre Cielos is located in Mendoza. This wonderful area is known worldwide not only for its excellent wines, but also for its unparalleled blue skies which are set against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes. This combination is the perfect setting for the first hamam in Latin America.
The hamam forms a fundamental part of Entre Cielos, which also offers an exclusive boutique hotel with 16 rooms, independent wine production, and unique cuisine. Our motto is “viviendo la vida”, as a call to enjoy every moment of it – our reason for living.
